Your first stop will be intricately designed Yu Yuan Garden, a classic creation of the Ming dynasty.

Yu Garden is one of Shanghai’s best-preserved ancient Chinese private gardens.

Jade Buddha Temple is still an active Buddhist temple with two previous statues of Buddha, carved from rare single blocks of white jade adorned with precious stones. The temple was listed in 1983 as a key Buddhist temple in the Han nationality regions by the State Council.

Covers most of the major categories of Chinese art with a collection of 12, 300 pieces in 21 categories of valuable cultural relics, including some donations from private collectors.

The bund. It is a 1.7km long waterfront walking promenade with a showcase of pre-1949 architecture. It is also the best place to compare the old and new Shanghai.

Nanjing Road, 5.5 km in full length, enjoys the reputation as China No. 1 commercial center.
